Okay your ex called you that's a good sign but now you have to have a plan if you want to get him/her back.
But first let's take a step back and ask yourself some questions.
1 - Is this what YOU want? Do you want to get back with your ex?
2 - Do you have a clear idea of what issues you broke up over?
3 - What responsibility in the breakup was yours? And what was theirs?

So what do you do next? If you do want to get your ex back call them set up a time and a place to meet. Do not start the talk about getting back together on the phone. Have lunch somewhere in a public place. But and this is very important don't do it right away. Tell them you have some things going on you just wanted to return their call and tell them you will call them back next week.
You have now started a line of communication with your ex although actually they started it but that's okay.

By not communicating you are allowing your ex time to miss you and time to get over the reasons for breaking up. This space will be good for your mental health as well, and will help you to think clearly. It also sets you up for the next technique.
